In this video you’ll see how to delete a site fully, including it’s database. This will come in handy for deleting a sandbox development site, or for completely removing a live site prior to migrating a new one into its place, or restoring a backup. We’ll cover how to locate the proper database on an account with several installations, and the order to take things out.
This tutorial covers a multitude of site removal types. You will not be deleting everything for every type. So, pay close attention to the stop points. I’ll call them out for deletions for migrating a revamp site to an existing site, or restoring from a backup, which requires first deleting the existing site.
NOTE: Some hosts save recently deleted files in the .trash folder. It should be located in the host root, which is the directory above public_html. Be sure to delete everything in it as well.
