In this video, I’ll show the basic rewrite code that should be in your htaccess file as well as additional code that can be installed to help protect your site.
UPDATE: 2/4/17 for SSL / HTTPS
Free certificates issued via cPanel now modify the code in .htaccess on some hosts.
It looks similar to this:

Also, make note of any redirects that may already be listed in the .htaccess file.
These will need to be updated manually when the site is converted to HTTPS.
