Close Site Checklist
Below is the checklist I use to help close a site permanently.

Do you want a one page, non WP, static HTML site to replace your current one?
- If yes, please design it – can be on your current site and save as a draft page
- Put the title of that draft page here
Do you want to keep your current hosting?
- If no, please specify if you want to downgrade with current host or move to cheaper hosting
Do you use a domain-related email that needs to remain active?
Do you want to notify your readers prior to the site coming down?
- If yes, write that last email, but don’t send yet

- paid plugins
- Be sure to investigate how to stop billing and if you need site access to do so
