VaultPress SSH Restore Connection

July 14, 2016 By MaAnna

See how to create the SSH restore connection in VaultPress. It is the fastest and most secure restore option, and is definitely the preferred method.

You will need to be logged into the host cPanel and VaultPress to do these steps. You’ll also need the site’s IP address. And, you may also need the cPanel username and password info too.

FYI: You can do the SSH restore connections yourself at most hosts, but you can’t do it at SiteGround. You’ll need to open a support ticket and clearly explain that you already have the RSA keys, and tell them where to put them. Expect to have to clarify that 2-3 times in the ticket. I even asked them for the exact wording to use in my tickets to make it clear. Doesn’t help.
